Randall Peltzer, a struggling inventor , visits a Chinatown antique store in the hope of finding a Christmas present for his son Billy. In the store, Randall encounters a small, furry creature called a mogwai ( Cantonese : 魔怪 , "devil"). The owner, Mr. Wing, refuses to sell the creature to Randall. Gizmo   (also often referred to as "Giz" by Billy) is an adorable, very kind  Mogwai who is the pet of  Billy Peltzer . He doesn't seem to have a single bit of evil within him unlike some of the other Mogwais, making him an  Eternal , or a Mogwai who refuses to be evil. He used to be owned by  Mr. Wing  until his death. Greta spawns at Clamp Center in 1990. She drank a female serum, making her appearance more feminine. She appears harmless, but her affinity for some men is quite troublesome. Greta portrayed to be in love with Forster, and she has a bit of a dislike for George . She's also the sole surviving gremlin after all of her fellow gremlins are killed. Greta often brutally attacked other gremlins when they tried to get a hit on her. She portrayed herself as being lovestruck for Clamp Center employee Forster , and clinging on to him and forcibly kissing him repeatedly, leaving smooch marks all over his face. Later she appeared in a dress during the gremlin musical number in the building's lobby. Then she reappears at the very end of the film in a wedding dress, apparently preparing to marry Forster in one of the Clamp Center bathrooms. She's the only gremlin shown to have survived. The Flasher Gremlin appears in both films. The first one invaded Kingston Falls , and the second one spawned at Clamp Center . Flasher gremlins will wear a trenchcoat and a pair of sunglasses, taking every opportunity to flash themselves to whoever. The Kingston Falls Flasher seemed to have an interest in Kate Beringer .
