Galactus   is a   fictional character   appearing in   American comic books   published by   Marvel Comics . Formerly a mortal man, Galactus is a   cosmic entity   who originally consumed planets to sustain his life force, and serves a functional role in the upkeep of the   primary Marvel continuity . Galactus was created by   Stan Lee   and   Jack Kirby   and first appeared in the comic book   Fantastic Four   #48, published in March 1966. Lee and Kirby wanted to introduce a character that broke away from the archetype of the standard villain. In the character's first appearance, Galactus was depicted as a god-like figure who feeds by draining living planets of their energy, and operates without regard to the morality and judgments of mortal beings. Call of Duty is a first-person shooter video game franchise published by Activision . Starting out in 2003, it first focused on games set in World War II . Over time, the series has seen games set in the midst of the Cold War , futuristic worlds, and outer space. The games were first developed by Infinity Ward , then also by Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games . Several spin-off and handheld games were made by other developers. The most recent title, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War , was released on November 13, 2020. The series originally focused on the World War II setting, with Infinity Ward developing the first (2003) and second (2005) titles in the series and Treyarch developing the third (2006). The Crow is a 1994 American superhero film directed by Alex Proyas and starring Brandon Lee in his final film appearance. The film is based on James O'Barr 's comic book of the same name , and tells the story of Eric Draven (Lee), a rock musician who is revived to avenge the rape and murder of his fiancée, as well as his own death. The film also stars Ernie Hudson , Michael Wincott , Bai Ling , Sofia Shinas , and Michael Massee . The lead actor, Brandon Lee, was accidentally wounded on set during filming by defective blank ammunition and later died in the hospital during surgery. The  Egg  is the first stage of the  Xenomorph 's life cycle; produced by the  Queen  through the use of her ovipositor, it serves as an organic capsule for the  facehugger . When a host approaches, four "petals" at the top of the egg spread open and a  Facehugger  launches out. The  Engineer  cargo hold used an anesthetic mist to put them in suspended animation for safe handling. When no host approaches, the egg develops several tendril like roots, probably for nutrient absorption similar to plant organisms, to help it sustain itself until a potential host appears.
