P-51 Mustang "Big Beautiful Doll" - Plane - Metalcraft

Image
The North American Aviation P-51 Mustang is an American long-range, single-seat fighter and fighter-bomber used during World War II and the Korean War , among other conflicts. The Mustang was designed in 1940 by North American Aviation (NAA) in response to a requirement of the British Purchasing Commission . The Purchasing Commission approached North American Aviation to build Curtiss P-40 fighters under license for the Royal Air Force (RAF). Rather than build an old design from another company, North American Aviation proposed the design and production of a more modern fighter. The prototype NA-73X airframe was rolled out on 9 September 1940, 102 days after the contract was signed, and first flew on 26 October. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_P-51_Mustang ------------------------------ "Big Beautiful Doll" was a North American P-51D flown by Colonel John D Landers, and we look at thehistory of the name behind this legendary Mustang. http...

World War 1 - Tank - Papercraft

The development of tanks in World War I was a response to the stalemate that had developed on the Western Front . Although vehicles that incorporated the basic principles of the tank (armour, firepower, and all-terrain mobility) had been projected in the decade or so before the War, it was the heavy casualties sustained in the first few months of hostilities that stimulated development. Research took place in both Great Britain and France, with Germany only belatedly following the Allies' lead. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanks_in_World_War_I -------------------------------- Paper craft  is the collection of  art  forms employing  paper  or  card  as the primary  artistic medium  for the creation of three-dimensional objects.
