Gremlins - Savage Gremlin - T-shirt - (Wootbox September 2019)
Wanneer een Mogwai eet na middernacht verpopt hij zich, om enkele uren later uit de pop te kruipen als een Gremlin. Een Gremlin is een rechtoplopend groen reptielachtig wezen met scherpe tanden en grote oren. Ze zijn groter en sterker dan Mogwai, hoewel het om dezelfde individuen gaat en ze hun herinneringen als Mogwai behouden. Ook behouden ze bepaalde kenmerken die ze als Mogwai ook hadden, zoals de haarkam van Stripe en Mohawk (Stripe behoudt de kam terwijl Mohawk een beenachtige kam ervoor in de plaats krijgt).
Ze zijn boosaardig en gewelddadig, en schrikken er niet voor terug mensen, dieren of soortgenoten te martelen of doden, uit kwaadaardigheid of plezier. Zelfs Brain, de intelligente Gremlin uit Gremlins 2, die zich aanvankelijk jegens een interviewer als beschaafd voordoet, schiet direct daarna een andere Gremlin dood met de mededeling dat dit weliswaar niet beschaafd, maar wel leuk is. Ook belt hij met een aandelenhandelaar met het advies te investeren in bedrijven die blikvoedsel en geweren produceren, implicerend dat de mensen die nog nodig zullen hebben door de anarchie die Gremlins veroorzaken.
Sommige Gremlins lijken zich simpelweg tevreden te stellen met het veroorzaken van chaos en kattenkwaad, en het bangmaken van mensen. Hoe dan ook loopt een Gremlin door zijn anarchistische en gewelddadige natuur een grote kans gedood te worden door mensen of andere Gremlins, of door een ongeluk.
Gremlins zijn anarchistischer dan Mogwai, maar ook zij luisteren naar leiders. In Gremlins 1 is dit Stripe, in Gremlins 2 Mohawk, die later in de film wordt vervangen door Brain die een drankje heeft gedronken dat hem intelligent maakt en een menselijke stem geeft. Er wordt gesuggereerd dat Mohawk de reïncarnatie van Stripe is.
In beide films ontstaan uiteindelijk hordes van rond de 1.000 Gremlins, die uiteindelijk op een na volledig uitgeroeid worden. Slechts Gizmo blijft over, in de goede handen van Billy.

Gremlins is a 1984 American comedy horror film directed by Joe Dante and released by Warner Bros. The film is about a young man who receives a strange creature called a mogwai as a pet, which then spawns other creatures who transform into small, destructive, evil monsters. This story was continued with a sequel, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, released in 1990. Unlike the lighter sequel, Gremlins opts for more black comedy, balanced against a Christmastime setting. Both films were the center of large merchandisingcampaigns.

Gremlins 2: The New Batch is a 1990 American comedy horror film, and the sequel to the 1984 film Gremlins. It was directed by Joe Dante and written by Charles S. Haas, with creature designs by Rick Baker. Zach Galligan, Phoebe Cates, Dick Miller, Jackie Joseph, and Keye Luke reprise their roles from the first film. New cast members include John Glover, Robert Prosky, Haviland Morris, Robert Picardo, and Christopher Lee; additionally, the film features Tony Randall providing the voice for one of the gremlins. The story continues the adventures of the creature Gizmo (once again voiced by Howie Mandel), who spawns numerous small monsters when wet. In the first film, Gizmo's offspring rampaged through a small fictional town. In Gremlins 2: The New Batch, Gizmo multiplies within a skyscraper in New York City. The new creatures thus pose a serious threat to the city should they be able to leave the building, and much of the story involves the human characters' efforts to prevent this disaster.

A T-shirt (or tee shirt, or tee) is a style of unisex fabric shirt, named after the T shape of the body and sleeves. It is normally associated with short sleeves, a round neckline, known as a crew neck, with no collar. T-shirts are generally made of a light, inexpensive fabric, and are easy to clean.
Typically made of cotton textile in a stockinette or jersey, knit, it has a distinctively pliable texture compared to shirts made of woven cloth. The majority of modern versions have a body made from a continuously woven tube, on a circular loom, so that the torso has no side seams. The manufacture of T-shirts has become highly automated and may include fabric cutting by laser or water jet.
The T-shirt evolved from undergarments used in the 19th century, and in the mid-20th century transitioned from undergarment to general-use casual clothing.
A V-neck T-shirt has a V-shaped neckline, as opposed to the round neckline of the more common crew neck shirt (also called a U-neck). V-necks were introduced so that the neckline of the shirt does not stand out when an outer shirt is worn over it, thus reducing or eliminating the visible cloth above the outer shirt of a crew neck shirt.
