Toy Story - Buzz Lightyear - Disney Infinity Figurine

Buzz Lightyear is a fictional character in the Toy Story franchise. He is a toy Space Ranger superhero according to the movies and an action figure in the franchise. Along with Sheriff Woody, he is one of the two lead characters in all four Toy Story movies. He also appeared in the direct-to-video film Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins and its spin-off television series.


Buzz Lightyear is voiced by Tim Allen in the Toy Story films, a few video games, and the Buzz Lightyear movie, while Patrick Warburton provides the voice for the TV series. Chris Evans is set to portray the human version of the character in the next film: Lightyear, which will explore his backstory.

The character has been the subject of critical acclaim, becoming one of the most iconic and beloved film characters of all-time. Buzz has remained Pixar's most famous character, and has become one of Disney's most marketable characters since his debut. The character's catchphrase, "To Infinity... and Beyond!", has also received high recognition as well, becoming one of the most famous movie quotes of all-time.

Toy Story is a Disney media franchise that commenced in 1995 with the release of the animated feature film of the same name, produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The franchise is based on the anthropomorphic concept that all toys, unknown to humans, are secretly alive and the films focus on a diverse group of toys that feature a classic cowboy doll named Sheriff Woody and a modern spaceman action figure named Buzz Lightyear, principally voiced by Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. The group unexpectedly embark on adventures that challenge and change them.

The franchise consists mainly of four CGI animated films: Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2 (1999), Toy Story 3 (2010), and Toy Story 4 (2019), with a spin-off prequel film, Lightyear (2022), currently in development. The first Toy Story was the first feature-length film to be made entirely using computer-generated imagery. The first two Toy Stories were directed by John Lasseter, the third Toy Story by Lee Unkrich, who acted as the co-director of the second Toy Story (together with Ash Brannon), the fourth Toy Story by Josh Cooley, and Lightyear by Angus MacLane.

Disney Infinity is an action-adventure sandbox video game developed by Avalanche Software and Heavy Iron Studios and published by Disney Interactive Studios. It was announced on January 15, 2013. The game used collectible figurines that were then synchronized with the game, unlocking characters from Disney and Pixar properties that interact and go on adventures. The game was released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS in August 2013. A PC version of Toy Box was also released on November 14, 2013. The game had a budget approaching $100 million. A sequel, Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, was released on September 23, 2014. The third edition, Disney Infinity 3.0, was released on August 30, 2015, and introduced support for the Apple TV. This game was also later on Microsoft Windows in 2013.
