Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse - The Prowler - Funko Pop! (407) - (Pop In A Box)
The Prowler is an alias used by several fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. These characters are primarily depicted as wearing a green and purple battle suit with a cape and clawed gauntlets. Created by writer Stan Lee and artists John Buscema and Jim Mooney, the character was introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man #78 (November 1969); a 13-year-old John Romita Jr. came up with the character's name and costume, although only the name was ultimately kept. In the mainstream Marvel Universe, the first and most notable iteration of the Prowler is Hobart "Hobie" Brown, a African-American teenage genius who created the Prowler technology originally a petty thief and adversary to the superhero Spider-Man, and has since become a viable ally of the original web-slinger, as well as a superhero in his own right. In the alternate Ultimate Marvel universe, the second best-known equivalent of the Prowler is Aaron Davis, a career criminal and the uncle of the second Spider-Man in this reality.
Both Hobie Brown and Aaron Davis have appeared in several media adaptations outside of comics; the former being primarily featured in animated television series and the latter in films, such as the live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe film Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) played by Donald Glover, while Mahershala Ali voiced the character in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018).

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a 2018 American computer-animated superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales, produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation in association with Marvel. Distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it is the first animated film in the Spider-Man franchise. Directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman (in Persichetti and Rothman's feature directorial debuts) from a screenplay by Phil Lord and Rothman, it stars Shameik Moore as Miles Morales / Spider-Man, alongside the voices of Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Brian Tyree Henry, Lily Tomlin, Luna Lauren Velez, John Mulaney, Kimiko Glenn, Nicolas Cage, and Liev Schreiber. Set in a shared multiverse called the "Spider-Verse", the film's story follows Miles Morales as he becomes the new Spider-Man after being bitten by a radioactive spider, and the death of his world’s Peter Parker, and joins other Spider-People from various parallel universes to save New York City from the Kingpin.
Plans for an animated Spider-Man film by Lord and Christopher Miller were leaked in 2014 and announced in April 2015. Persichetti, Ramsey and Rothman joined over the next two years, with Moore and Schreiber cast in April 2017. Lord and Miller wanted the film to have a unique style, combining computer animation with traditional hand-drawn comic book techniques inspired by the work of Miles Morales co-creator Sara Pichelli. The film required up to 140 animators, the largest crew used by Sony Pictures Animation on a feature film. The film is dedicated to the memories of the creators of Spider-Man, Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, who both died in 2018.
