The Pirates of the Caribbean - Davy Jones - Disney Infinity Figurine

Davy Jones is a fictional character and major antagonist of the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. He is portrayed by Bill Nighy.

He was first mentioned in the first film The Curse of the Black Pearl, appears in the second film Dead Man's Chest and in the third film At World's End as the main antagonist, and a cameo antagonist at the end of Dead Men Tell No Tales. He is the tyrannical captain of the Flying Dutchman (based on the ghost ship of the same name), the dark lord of the Seven Seas and the archenemy of Captain Jack Sparrow and Will Turner.

The computer-generated imagery used to complete Jones was named by Entertainment Weekly as the tenth favorite computer generated film character in film history, behind King Kong in 2007.[1] The work on Davy Jones by Industrial Light and Magic earned them the 2006 Academy Award for Visual Effects for Dead Man's Chest.

The character is based on the superstition of Davy Jones' Locker.

There is a statue of Davy Jones in Pirates of the Grill Bengaluru, local folklore says the statue is magical and causes people who touch it to fall in love and get married.

Pirates of the Caribbean is a Disney media franchise encompassing numerous theme park rides, a series of films, and spin-off novels, as well as a number of related video games and other media publications. The franchise originated with the theme park ride of the same name, which opened at Disneyland in 1967 and was one of the last Disneyland rides overseen by Walt Disney. Disney Infinity is an action-adventure sandbox video game developed by Avalanche Software and Heavy Iron Studios and published by Disney Interactive Studios. It was announced on January 15, 2013. The game used collectible figurines that were then synchronized with the game, unlocking characters from Disney and Pixar properties that interact and go on adventures. The game was released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS in August 2013. A PC version of Toy Box was also released on November 14, 2013. The game had a budget approaching $100 million. A sequel, Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, was released on September 23, 2014. The third edition, Disney Infinity 3.0, was released on August 30, 2015, and introduced support for the Apple TV. This game was also later on Microsoft Windows in 2013.
