Phineas and Ferb is an American animated musical-comedy television series created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh for Disney Channel and Disney XD. Produced by Disney Television Animation, the series was originally broadcast as a one-episode preview on August 17, 2007, and again previewed on September 28, 2007, the series officially premiered on February 1, 2008, on Disney Channel, running until June 12, 2015.

The program follows Phineas Flynn and his stepbrother Ferb Fletcher, who are between eight and ten years old, on summer vacation. Every day, the boys embark on some grand new project; these are usually unrealistic given the protagonists' ages (and are sometimes downright physically impossible), which annoys their controlling older sister Candace, who frequently tries to reveal their shenanigans to her and Phineas' mother, Linda Flynn-Fletcher, and less frequently to Ferb's father, Lawrence Fletcher. The series follows a standard plot system; running gags occur in every episode, and the subplot almost always features Phineas and Ferb's pet platypus Perry the Platypus working as a spy (named "Agent P") for OWCA (the Organization Without a Cool Acronym) to defeat the latest scheme of Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, a mad scientist driven largely by a need to assert his evilness (although he is not especially evil and has a good heart in some situations). The two plots intersect at the end to erase all traces of the boys' project just before Candace can show it to their mother. This usually leaves Candace very frustrated.

Povenmire and Marsh had previously worked together on Fox's The Simpsons and Nickelodeon's Rocko's Modern Life. The creators also voice two of the main B-plot characters, Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram. Phineas and Ferb was conceived after Povenmire sketched a triangular boy – the prototype for Phineas – in a restaurant. Povenmire and Marsh developed the series concept together and pitched it to networks for 16 years before securing a run on Disney Channel.

Disney Infinity is an action-adventure sandbox video game developed by Avalanche Software and Heavy Iron Studios and published by Disney Interactive Studios. It was announced on January 15, 2013. The game used collectible figurines that were then synchronized with the game, unlocking characters from Disney and Pixar properties that interact and go on adventures. The game was released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS in August 2013. A PC version of Toy Box was also released on November 14, 2013. The game had a budget approaching $100 million. A sequel, Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, was released on September 23, 2014. The third edition, Disney Infinity 3.0, was released on August 30, 2015, and introduced support for the Apple TV. This game was also later on Microsoft Windows in 2013.

Power Discs can be placed on the Disney Infinity Base in order to give a Figure additional Abilities and upgrades, or to place certain toys or customizations in the Toy Box.

Power discs come in two types: Circular Power Discs and Hexagonal Power Discs.
  • Circular discs go under a figure to provide stat boosts to your character, change their costume, summon another character to fight with your character, or trigger an event that will deal damage to enemies.
  • Hexagonal discs are placed on the hexagonal spot at the back of the base, where a Play Set piece would normally go, and provide either texture customizations (Skydomes and Texture Sets) or new toys for your Toy Box.

The discs of Disney Infinity 1.0 and Disney Infinity 2.0 are sold in blind packs of two discs each, sold for $4.99 a pack. In one pack, you can receive two hexagonal discs, two circular discs, or one of each. This is changed in Disney Infinity 3.0, where the power discs are sold in themed packs of four discs each for $9.99 per pack.

For Disney Infinity 1.0, Toys "R" Us sold ten exclusive rare Power Discs, which were all sold in exclusive blind packs released one at a time at certain events at Toys "R" Us over the course of several months. Each of these special packs contained one exclusive power disc and one other random, nonexclusive power disc.
