Venom, or the Venom Symbiote, is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly in association with Spider-Man. Venom made his first appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #300 (May 1988). Venom was originally conceived as a supervillain, but has since become more of an antihero. Venom is a Symbiote, a sentient alien, with a gooey, almost liquid-like form. As with real-world symbiotes, it requires a host, usually human, to bond with for its survival. After bonding, the Symbiote endows its enhanced powers upon the host. When the Venom Symbiote bonds with a human, that new dual-life form refers to itself as "Venom".
The Venom Symbiote's first known host was Spider-Man, who eventually separated himself from the creature when he discovered its true nature. The Symbiote went on to merge with other hosts, most notably Eddie Brock, its second and most infamous host, with whom it first became Venom and one of Spider-Man's archenemies. According to S.H.I.E.L.D., it is considered one of the greatest threats to humanity, alongside Magneto, Doctor Doom, and Red Skull.

In the original version of the story, Eddie Brock is a journalist who exposes the identity of a serial killer only for the real killer to be caught by Spider-Man, thus he accused the wrong man. Disgraced and suicidal, he comes into contact with an alien Symbiote, rejected by Peter Parker. The Symbiote bonds with him and they become Venom, together seeking out revenge against their mutual enemy. Though he repeatedly comes into conflict with Spider-Man, he also attempts to operate as a hero, albeit a violent one, seeking to save those he deems "innocent". In 2008, after being separated from the Venom Symbiote, he gains a new Symbiote to be the anti-hero Anti-Venom until that symbiote is sacrificed to help cure the "Spider-Island" epidemic during the 2011 storyline. In 2012, he was bonded to the Toxin symbiote. Though he is a human with no powers, the Venom Symbiote suit bestows upon him a range of abilities including many of the powers belonging to Spider-Man, the Symbiote's original host.
Debuting in the Modern Age of Comic Books, the character has featured in other Marvel-endorsed products such as animated television series; video games; merchandise such as action figures, and trading cards; and feature films in which he is played by Topher Grace in Spider-Man 3 and by Tom Hardy in the 2018 film Venom. This incarnation of Venom was rated 33rd on Empire's 50 Greatest Comic Book Characters, and was the 22nd Greatest Villain on IGN's 100 Greatest Comic Villains of All Time. Comics journalist and historian Mike Conroy writes of the character: "What started out as a replacement costume for Spider-Man turned into one of the Marvel web-slinger's greatest nightmares."

Venom is een Amerikaanse superheldenfilm uit 2018, geregisseerd door Ruben Fleischer, gebaseerd op het gelijknamig personage uit de strips van Marvel Comics.
Venom kwam een eerste keer voor als tegenstander van Spider-Man in Spider-Man 3 in 2007. Producer Avi Arad kondigde in juli 2007 aan dat hij plannen had om een spin-off te maken met Venom in de hoofdrol. In december 2013 werd aangekondigd dat The Amazing Spider-Man 2 een begin zou zijn van een nieuwe Spider-Man-franchise met onder andere films over Venom en The Sinister Six. In 2015 werden al deze plannen geschrapt door Sony Pictures en werd er gefocust op een reboot in samenwerking met Marvel Studios.
Venom werd in maart 2016 opnieuw bovengehaald met Avi Arad en Matt Tolmach als producenten en Dante Harper als scenarioschrijver. Dit keer als een opzichzelfstaande film, onafhankelijk van de nieuwe Spider-Manfilms van Sony of Marvel, en mogelijk het begin van een nieuwe eigen franchise.
Marvel Studios is niet betrokken bij het project en heeft geen plannen om deze film te integreren in het Marvel Cinematic Universe hoewel hij zich in dezelfde wereld als de MCU-films afspeelt.
In mei 2017 kondigde Sony aan dat Tom Hardy de hoofdrol zou spelen van de anti-held Eddie Brock en dat de regie in handen kwam van Ruben Fleisher. De releasedatum werd voorzien op 5 oktober 2018 en de filmopnamen zouden van start gaan in de herfst van 2017. Dit zou de eerste film zijn in een nieuw Sony Marvel Universe. In augustus 2017 werd aangekondigd dat er gesprekken waren met Riz Ahmed en dat het scenario zou worden geschreven door Scott Rosenberg en Jeff Pinkner. In september 2017 voegde Michelle Williams zich bij de cast.
Componist Ludwig Goransson die onder andere de muziek van Black Panther componeerde werd in maart 2018 bevestigd voor de filmmuziek.

A T-shirt (or tee shirt, or tee) is a style of unisex fabric shirt, named after the T shape of the body and sleeves. It is normally associated with short sleeves, a round neckline, known as a crew neck, with no collar. T-shirts are generally made of a light, inexpensive fabric, and are easy to clean.
Typically made of cotton textile in a stockinette or jersey, knit, it has a distinctively pliable texture compared to shirts made of woven cloth. The majority of modern versions have a body made from a continuously woven tube, on a circular loom, so that the torso has no side seams. The manufacture of T-shirts has become highly automated and may include fabric cutting by laser or water jet.
The T-shirt evolved from undergarments used in the 19th century, and in the mid-20th century transitioned from undergarment to general-use casual clothing.
A V-neck T-shirt has a V-shaped neckline, as opposed to the round neckline of the more common crew neck shirt (also called a U-neck). V-necks were introduced so that the neckline of the shirt does not stand out when an outer shirt is worn over it, thus reducing or eliminating the visible cloth above the outer shirt of a crew neck shirt.
