The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - Merry - Action Figure - (Toybiz)
Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck (later known as Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck I, due to his grandson's birth) was a Hobbit and one of Frodo's cousins and closest friends. He loved boats and ponies and had a great interest in the maps of Middle-earth. He was also one of the nine companions in The Fellowship of the Ring.
Merry was born in TA 2982. He was the only child of Saradoc Brandybuck (TA 2940 - FO 11), Master of Buckland, and Esmeralda Took (TA 2936 - ?), the younger sister of Paladin Took II , making him first cousin to Paladin's son Pippin, who was clearly his closest friend.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is a 2002 epic high fantasy adventure film directed by Peter Jackson and based on the second volume of J. R. R. Tolkien's novel The Lord of the Rings. It is the second installment in The Lord of the Rings film series, preceded by The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) and concluding with The Return of the King (2003).

Merry: A Hobbit from The Shire, Merry joined Frodo on his quest to destroy the One Rings as a member of the Fellowship of the Ring. When the Fellowship was broken at Amon hen, Merry and Pippin were captured by the wizard Saruman's Uruk-Hai soldiers. Merry had to keep his wits despite his fear, watching the brutish Uruk-Hai and Orcs in their squabbling for any opportunities He and Pippin might exploit to make good their escape.

It became a major producer of Marvel character toys and partially owned by Ronald O. Perelman's Marvel Entertainment Groupin 1993. In June 1998, the company became part of Marvel Enterprises. On January 1, 2007, Hasbro became the new license holder to the rights to produce toys and games based upon the Marvel Universe. Marvel Toys continued to produce non-Marvel trademarked brands until late 2007, after this time, the division quietly dissolved with their website going down in 2008.
