The Lord of the Rings - Gollum - Figurine (MiniCo.) - (Zbox October 2020)

Image
Gollum , originally known as Sméagol (or Trahald), was at first a  Stoor , one of the three early Hobbit-types. The name Gollum was derived from the sound of his disgusting gurgling, choking cough. His birth can be estimated to have happened in the year  TA 2430 . His death date is given as  March 25 ,  3019 . His life was extended far beyond its natural limits by the effects of possessing the  One Ring . At the time of his death, Sméagol was about 589 years old, a remarkable age for a creature that was once a  Hobbit , but he had been deformed and twisted in both body and mind by the corruption of the Ring. His chief desire was to possess the Ring that had enslaved him, and he pursued it for many years after  Bilbo Baggins  found it while walking in the  Misty Mountains  in the book The Hobbit. In the movies, he was a deuteragonist-turned-secondary antagonist. http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Gollum ------------------------------ The  Lo...

The Shining - Overlook Hotel - Tin Sign (Placard) - (Zbox October 2020)

Image
The Overlook Hotel was a secluded hotel located in the Rocky Mountains and the main antagonist in The Shining . During its history, it was the site of many unsavory activities, including suicides, gangland hits, and many suspicious changes of ownership, yet the hotel remained a luxurious destination known for its sumptuous grounds and spectacular mountain view.  In the novel, The Shining , the Overlook was destroyed when the hotel's winter caretaker, Jack Torrance , allowed the outmoded boiler to go untended until it exploded, burning the Overlook to the ground. Jack’s wife Wendy, his son Danny and Dick Hallorann were the only three survivors. Years later, Andrew Pomeroy , an amateur painter, was employed by a magazine to sketch the ruins of the hotel. Pomeroy disappeared during the assignment. Later on, in 1982, his body was found inside the ruins of the hotel, no one knowing how it was possible. In the film The Shining , the Overlook Hotel's exterior is represented by Timber...

Zuul and Vinz Clortho are the primary servants and harbingers of Gozer The Gozerian. Worshipped as demigods, they are known respectively as The Gatekeeper and The Keymaster. Their goal: possess a mortal male and female, perform a sexual rite combining their powers and open a gateway to allow The Destructor entry into a given world. After opening the portal, they take their places as guardians of Gozer's cosmic pyramid. The Terror Dogs are similar in appearance: horned (the male Vinz Clortho has longer horns) dog-like quadrupeds with powerful, dark-colored bodies, blazing demonic red eyes and vicious fangs and claws. In Ghostbusters terminology from West End Games' role-playing game, The Terror Dogs would each rank as a Class 7 Metaspectre. In addition to their ability to dematerialize and possess mortals, The Terror Dogs exhibit other supernatural powers such as summoning lesser entities, levitating, telekinesis and shape-changing (usually the physical form of those they posse...
