Aiden Pearce (also known as "The Vigilante" and "The Fox" by citizens and the media) is the protagonist of  Watch Dogs . He is a highly skilled  grey hat  hacker who has access to the  CTOS  of  Chicago  using a highly specialized device, the  Profiler . Because his actions led to a family tragedy, Aiden has taken to a personal crusade against the powers that be. The character was created by writer-editor  Stan Lee  and writer-artist  Steve Ditko , and  first appeared  in the  anthology  comic book  Amazing Fantasy  #15 (Aug. 1962) in the  Silver Age of Comic Books .
