Harley Quinn  (Harleen Frances Quinzel) is a fictional  supervillain  appearing in  American comic books  published by  DC Comics . The character was created by  Paul Dini  and  Bruce Timm , and first appeared in  Batman: The Animated Series  in September 1992. She later appeared in  DC Comics '  Batman  comic books, with the character's first comic book appearance in  The Batman Adventures  #12 (September 1993). Harley Quinn is the frequent accomplice and lover of the  Joker , whom she met while working as a  psychologist  at  Gotham City 's  Arkham Asylum , where the Joker was a patient. Her name is a play on the name " Harlequin ", a character which originated in the  commedia dell'arte . Kratos , the "Ghost of Sparta", is a video game character from Sony Santa Monica 's God of War series, which is loosely based on Greek mythology and Norse mythology . Kratos first appeared in the 2005 video game God of War , which led to the development of six additional games featuring the character as the protagonist ; another installment is in development, which will be the first to be based on Norse mythology. Kratos also appears as the protagonist of the God of War comic series and novels. The character was voiced by Terrence C. Sylvanas Windrunner is a fictional character who appears in the Warcraft series of video games by Blizzard Entertainment . Originally introduced in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos , she received a dramatic redesign in World of Warcraft: Legion to her current appearance, much more in line with her in-universe lore depictions. Once a high elf ranger-general of Silvermoon, Sylvanas was murdered by Arthas Menethil when she led a doomed resistance against his invasion. In one climactic battle that rendered the capital city of Silvermoon in ruins, he managed to finally beat the elven general ripping her soul out and transformed it into a banshee ; the newest agent of the Lich King empowered by hatred of the living and an everlasting desire to rule over her new brethren.
