Ahsoka Tano is a character in the Star Wars franchise. Introduced as the Jedi Padawan of Anakin Skywalker, she is the central protagonist of the 2008 animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the subsequent television series. Ahsoka reappears in Star Wars Rebels, where she uses the codename Fulcrum, and as a voiceover cameo in the 2019 live-action film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Ashley Eckstein voices Ahsoka in these appearances. Ahsoka is also the main protagonist of the eponymous novel, which has Eckstein narrating the audiobook version. Ahsoka made her live-action debut in the second season of The Mandalorian, portrayed by Rosario Dawson. Dawson will return to play Ahsoka in her own series Ahsoka on Disney+.
Although initially disliked by both fans and critics, Ahsoka eventually developed into a more complex, well-rounded character, and ultimately became a fan favorite. Serving as a foil for Anakin Skywalker, she has been highlighted as a "strong female character" of the franchise.

The series has spawned an extensive media franchise including books, television series, computer and video games, and comic books, all of which take place within the same continuity as the films, resulting in significant development of the series's fictional universe, with the non-canonical works falling under the defunct Star Wars Legends label. Star Wars also holds a Guinness World Records title for the "Most successful film merchandising franchise. In 2015, the total value of the Star Wars franchise was estimated at USD $42 billion, making Star Wars the second highest-grossing media franchise of all time.
In 2012, The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm for $4.06 billion and earned the distribution rights to all subsequent Star Wars films, beginning with the release of The Force Awakens in 2015. The former distributor, 20th Century Fox, retains the physical distribution rights for the first two Star Wars trilogies, owns permanent rights for the original 1977 film and continues to hold the rights for the prequel trilogy and the first two sequels to A New Hope until May 2020. Walt Disney Studios owns digital distributionrights to all the Star Wars films, excluding A New Hope.

A scale model is most generally a physical representation of an object, which maintains accurate relationships between all important aspects of the model, although absolute values of the original properties need not be preserved. This enables it to demonstrate some behavior or property of the original object without examining the original object itself. The most familiar scale models represent the physical appearance of an object in miniature, but there are many other kinds.
Scale models are used in many fields including engineering, architecture, film making, military command, salesmanship and hobby model building. While each field may use a scale model for a different purpose, all scale models are based on the same principles and must meet the same general requirements to be functional. The detail requirements vary depending on the needs of the modeler.
